ELDHEIM — The Forgotten Secrets

Two valleys. A river that sings. A crown nobody has worn in a hundred years.

You come down the north road into Eldheim with the autumn at your back. The village is smaller than the stories promised, the jarl's knights hold the fort on the hill, and the standing stones out on the eastern shelf are warm to the touch. Help the villagers, break the garrison, follow the captain's secret beneath the stones — and find the way through the Underway to the Birkvale, where an old man on the shore knows what lives behind the Great Falls.

A first-person adventure at a walking pace: explore, hunt, dig up what the old folk hid, talk to people who remember, and make two valleys your own.

  • Two hand-built valleys: forests, lakes, brooks and three waterfalls
  • Sword and bow; wolves, bears, wraiths — and a few things that are bigger
  • A story in two chapters, ending with a proper coronation
  • Map, journal, compass, five save slots
  • Everything you see and hear is generated by the game's own code — not one image, model or sound file is imported
  • Family-friendly: no gore, no jump scares, text that waits for you to read it

was this AI assisted?

Yes — it's disclosed on the page: the code and the writing were done with an AI coding assistant (I'm not a programmer by trade). I designed the game, played every build, and decided what went in and what got thrown out; a year of evenings went into that back-and-forth.

There's no AI-generated art or audio in it at all — there are no image or sound files in the game whatsoever. The terrain, the water, the creatures, the UI and the music are all generated by the game's own code when it starts.

Happy to answer anything else about how it was made.

This game is amazing! The size is small but it's great.

Thank you — that made my day! The small size is the whole trick: there isn't a single image, model or sound file in there. The valleys, the water, the beasts and the music are all generated by the game's own code when you press New Adventure, so what you download is mostly just the engine.

If you get further in, I'd love to hear what you find — and do tell me if anything breaks.
