do you think we could get a linux version?

Maybe. I hope so. But I won't be able to test-run a Linux version, so I'll just have to hope it works. When the upcoming update is ready, I'll see if I can release versions for Linux and Mac at the same time.

id be able to playtest a bit but don't count be as super reliable. i've learned that IA is good at refactoring code and packaging it!

was this AI assisted?

Yes — it's disclosed on the page: the code and the writing were done with an AI coding assistant (I'm not a programmer by trade). I designed the game, played every build, and decided what went in and what got thrown out; a year of evenings went into that back-and-forth.

There's no AI-generated art or audio in it at all — there are no image or sound files in the game whatsoever. The terrain, the water, the creatures, the UI and the music are all generated by the game's own code when it starts.

Happy to answer anything else about how it was made.

Very cool im making a open world game also assisted by AI. i have no problem with AI its only when used poorly that it annoys me. when used correctly AI can be a very powerful and useful tool.

Auto correct didn't have so many people against it but it still was incredibly helpful!

Yeah, AI is really cool as a tool, so I hope you manage to create something great too. 😊 I'm currently working on a major update for the game with better graphics and more missions.

This game is amazing! The size is small but it's great.

Thank you — that made my day! The small size is the whole trick: there isn't a single image, model or sound file in there. The valleys, the water, the beasts and the music are all generated by the game's own code when you press New Adventure, so what you download is mostly just the engine.

If you get further in, I'd love to hear what you find — and do tell me if anything breaks.
